Street Teams - What is a street team?

Inspiring images of early punk and other underground music movements street team are groups of people who help promote independent bands and music to their friends, acquaintances, and others in unconventional and anti corporate ways. Spawned from the DIY (do it yourself) movements bands bypass corporate sponsored sales forces and go directly to the fans to help promote their music. Members create fan-sites, make banners, and get the word out through email, instant messages, bulletin boards, chat-rooms and e-cards. Members also make radio and video requests to help promote more airplay.

How do I get started? Its easy just visit your favorite websites related to music and entertainment or any other relevant sites and post messages recommending Lazarus X and giving a link to our website. Don't do multiple posts and make sure that you email us to let us know what you are doing. Call radio stations and request Lazarus X's Weapon of Love. Don't forget independent and college stations as they are great supporters of non-corporate music. Check out record stores and see if they have the record. If not request it. Print out flyers for them if they like, etc. We will be secretly issuing points to members and in one year the winner will get a big surprise. Plus you can get cool prizes along the way.
